I had the same issue : no reaction of the Surface Pro 4 after a battery replacement.

The Schottky diodes were Ok, same for the shunt resistor.

I found the issue and succeed to solve it, by replacing the IT8528 chip on the board, using a rework station available at my work.

The Surface works again, almost a month after the bad repair.

Careful during battery replacement, they are really fragile to misconnection
